New date for 2021 Viborg ITU Powerman Middle Distance Duathlon World Championships

Dear athletes and partners around Viborg ITU Powerman MD Duathlon World Championships.

We are delighted to inform you, that the date for the World Championships has been decided. The 2nd of October 2021, Viborg will host the World Championships in middle distance duathlon.

With one year of preparation for both you and us, we expect to see a world class race in a world class atmosphere.
Registration for the event will open within this month, and for those of you who had already registered and did not ask for a refund; your entry has been moved for the 2021 event.

We hope to see you all when the old capital of Viborg will welcome you all in 2021.

Postponed until autumn 2021 !

Due to the continued covid19 situation, we are forced to postpone the 2020 Viborg ITU Powerman MD Duathlon World Championships to autumn 2021. New date will be announced as soon as possible.

This has not been an easy decision and we know this announcement will upset your plans. We are aiming for a world-class event, with participants from all over the world. We, therefore, have to take into consideration that some athletes might not be able or allowed to travel to Denmark in October 2020, furthermore we acknowledge that many international athletes don’t feel safe traveling in these times.

2020 Viborg ITU Powerman Middle Distance Duathlon World Championships – postponed until 3rd of October 2020

With the current COVID-19 situation in mind, and to maintain the highest level for a world championship, the organizers, Triathlon Denmark, the International Triathlon Union, Viborg Municipality and the partners of the race, have taken the difficult decision to move the event to 3rd of October 2020.
